Israel National Team Head Coach Hazan and Director Benayoun Depart

The Israeli Football Association has officially confirmed the departure of national team head coach Hazan and director Benayoun.

In the European Championship qualifying playoff on March 22nd, the Israel national team suffered a 1-4 defeat against Iceland, failing to qualify for this summer's finals.
56-year-old Hazan has held multiple roles in Israel, including interim national team coach, assistant coach, and U21 national team head coach. He took over as head coach of the Israel national team in May 2022, leading the team to a record of 7 wins, 5 draws, and 6 losses in 18 matches.

43-year-old Benayoun, a former Israeli international player, was a standout for clubs like West Ham United, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Arsenal during his playing career. After retiring, Benayoun assumed the role of director of football for the Israel national team in March 2022.
